Sister Mary Adelaide Eiden, OP, formerly known as Sister Marie Henry celebrated 80 years in religious life during a ceremony held in Adrian Michigan on June 23-27. Sister Mary Adelaide received her Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at Memorial Medical Center in Corpus Christi in 1969-70.
Sister Mary Adelaide entered the convent in 1935 from St. Theresa Parish in Detroit. She made her first Profession of Vows on Jan. 4, 1937 and her perpetual profession on Jan. 4, 1942. Sister Mary Adelaide currently resides at the Dominican Life Center, the Motherhouse for the Adrian Dominican Sisters, in Adrian, Michigan. She is involved in the ministry of prayer and presence.
