Rollo’s Kids Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports children of hard-working, low-earning families by providing them with food, clothes, shoes and toys, announced they will host their second annual rummage sale on Saturday, March 8, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Party Ventures Event Hall, located at 1257 Nile Dr., to raise funds for their inaugural Easter event.
Filling a need in the community to support the struggling families that demonstrate hard work in the face of economic challenges, the foundation is accepting applications through March 14, for their upcoming spring event, Rollo’s Kids Easter Eggstravaganza, in memory of Robert J. Vera. All proceeds from the rummage sale will help fund the Easter event, where up to 100 kids will receive an Easter basket full of goodies, one pair of shoes, one complete outfit, lunch and an Easter egg hunt.
“The response we’ve received from the community in support of our mission has been overwhelming,” said Savannah Vera, Founder and President of Rollo’s Kids Foundation. “With the funds we earn from this rummage sale, we’ll be able to continue this mission and bring much-needed relief to many more families this Easter.”
Named after Vera’s five-year old son, Roland Vera Jr., the foundation will dedicate this inaugural Easter event to the memory the boy’s late uncle, Robert J. Vera. Items donated for sale include clothes, household items, fitness equipment and furniture. Refreshments will also be for sale, with all proceeds benefiting Rollo’s Kids Foundation.
