Pilgrims attending canonizations

A group of 70 people will leave for Rome on April 23 to witness the canonization of Blessed John Paul II and Blessed John XXIII in St. Peter’s Square. The group will visit basilicas and many other sites while on tour.

The pilgrims will be led by Father Patrick Higgins and Perry Le Grange, school principal, and will be accompanied by Father Peter Martinez, pastor of St. Paul the Apostle.

The president of Inspirational Tours Inc. told the group at a prep meeting on April 3 that it was one of the largest groups he has helped organize. The group includes members living in Illinois, Austin and the Rio Grande Valley who say they were made aware of the pilgrimage through the Internet and KLUX. The group will return April 30.
