Officials from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, the Diocese of Corpus Christi and the Newman Student Housing Fund will break ground for the new St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center, Chapel and 278 bed housing complex adjacent to the campus on Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 3 p.m.
The groundbreaking will mark the official start of construction for the new center and student housing made possible by a historic land swap agreement between the university and the diocese last June. The project will located adjacent to the campus at the intersection of Corral Ave. and Retama St. across from the intramural fields.
