New Assignments in the Diocese

June 22, 2023For the good of the People of God in the Diocese of Corpus Christi, the Most Reverend Wm. Michael Mulvey, STL, DD, Bishop of Corpus Christi, has made the following assignments, all effective as of July 5, 2023:
Rev. Thomas Swierc, as Parochial Vicar of Saint Philip the Apostle Parish in Corpus Christi to assist the pastor, Father John Xaviour.
Rev. Raymond Pendleton, as Priest in Resident at the Corpus Christi Cathedral in Corpus Christi to assist the pastor, Father James Stembler, until the beginning of the Fall semester when he will continue to study Canon Law at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas – Angelicum in Rome.
Very Rev. Pedro Elizardo, future Pastor of Saint Joseph Parish in Beeville and Sacred Heart Mission in Pettus, as Vicar Forane of the Beeville Vicariate. He follows Very Rev. Richard Gonzales, who will become Pastor of Saint John Baptist Parish in Corpus Christi.
