Law Enforcement/First Responder Mass at St. Patrick

"There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends (Jn 15:13)," Msgr. Roger Smith said at the 8 a.m. children's Mass celebrated for law enforcement and first responders at St. Patrick Church on Oct. 29. St. Patrick Elementary School offered a Mass and reception as part of the weeklong celebration of Red Ribbon Week Oct. 23-31.

"We wanted to thank law enforcement and first responders for keeping us safe and let them know how appreciated they are. The best way we know how to do that is to offer a Mass to let them see the smiling little faces of those they serve," Principal Evelyn Burton said.

Burton said they invited the community and about 50 personnel from different organizations were represented at the Mass.
