Lady Angels fall short in regional playoffs

Fort Bend Christian Academy of Sugar Land eliminated the Incarnate Word Academy Lady Angels softball team from the TAPPS 3-4A Regional playoffs by a 4-3 score in a game played on Monday, May 5. The game, which took place in College Station at the Texas A&M Aggie Softball Complex, was an exciting game to watch.

The Lady Angels were tied 1-1 going into the fourth inning, up 2-1 going into the fifth inning, tied again 2-2 going into the sixth inning, and started 3-3 in the seventh inning before falling by one run to Fort Bend Christian Academy.

At the TAPPS 3-4A Area Playoff Game, the Lady Angels defeated Northland Christian School 11-4 on April 29, at home at the National Little League Field.

This year was the first time in 11 years that the Lady Angels have advanced to the playoffs. The team finished the season 17-9.
