Kimmel receives General Cisneros scholarship

St. John Paul II High School senior Nicholas Kimmel was awarded the General Marc Cisneros Scholarship on Wednesday, Aug. 26. Kimmel was selected to receive this scholarship because he exemplifies the leadership and character traits of those represented by the General Cisneros.

An anonymous donor pledged $4,400 towards Kimmel's 2015-16 tuition.

This scholarship started in 2010 and will be carried on until the year 2020. A selected senior receives this award at the beginning of each school year. This year's presentation was made at the Immaculate Conception Chapel on the grounds of St. John Paul II High School at the end of the school wide weekly Mass celebrated by Bishop Emeritus Edmond Carmody.
