Parents at Incarnate Word Academy got an opportunity to be a student again as the school invited them to attend their children’s classrooms this week. Parents met faculty members as they attended their child’s first period class for approximately 6-8 minutes.
They then had a total of four minutes to get to their child’s second period classroom. Parents will continue this process until they complete their child’s daily schedule.
“Our Follow-the-Schedule Nights are a great opportunity for our parents to step in their child’s footsteps and meet each faculty member who educates their child,” IWA President and CEO Sammie H. Grunwald said. “It’s a fun night and a vivid example of how IWA includes our families to help create a community where all may grow in Christian wholeness and bear witness to the presence and love of Christ among us.”
IWA Middle Level held a Follow-the-Schedule Night on Wednesday, Aug. 17, beginning in children’s first period classrooms. IWA High School Level hosted a Follow-the-Schedule Night on Thursday, Aug. 18, in the school’s Angel Avenue Student Center.
