Several Incarnate Word Academy High School Level students and faculty are at the Texas State Capitol today, April 9, for Catholic Faith in Action Advocacy Day, which is organized by the Texas Catholic Conference.
These IWA students and faculty joined Bishop Wm. Michael Mulvey and 10 other bishops from the state of Texas to talk with legislators on different issues of interest to the Catholic Church, including life issues such as abortion.
The group participated in a rally on the south steps of the State Capitol with nearly 2,000 Catholics from across the Lone Star state.
“IWA’s participation in today’s events on Advocacy Day at the State Capitol is a perfect example of how our students, faculty, and staff strive to become an image of Christ,” school spokeswoman Dominique Damian said.
