IWA band and choir earn superior ratings at TAPPS State Music Championships

The Incarnate Word Academy band and choir competed at the TAPPS State Music Championships on March 28 at Mary Hardin Baylor University in Belton, Texas.

The band earned superior ratings in large concert band, sight reading, and medium ensemble. In addition, the band earned State Sweepstakes. The choir received superior ratings in small ensemble and excellent ratings in sacred ensemble.

The band also received five instrumental solo awards and the choir received six vocal solo awards.
