In Memoriam: Sister Maria Luisa Peña, MDPVM

Sister Maria Luisa Peña, 87, of Kingsville passed away July 31 in Kingsville, Texas. She was born on Aug. 25, 1934, in Robstown to Isidoro and Concepcion Peña.

She was a retired principal and a Catholic sister for 67 years with the religious congregation the Missionary Daughter of the Most Pure Virgin Mary.

She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church.  She is preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters. Survivors include one brother, Servando Peña.

Father Alfredo Villarreal officiated the funeral Mass on Aug. 5.  A private Graveside Service will be held in Chamberlain Cemetery at a later date.
