In memoriam: Deacon Joe Kaizen,
Dec. 16, 1921 - Sept. 28, 2014

Deacon Joe Kaizen, 92, passed away on Sept. 28. He was born on Dec. 16, 1921 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force where he retired as a lieutenant colonel and was a survivor of Pearl Harbor. He was also a member of The Knights of Columbus.

Deacon Kaizen is survived by his wife Margaret; children, Don Kaizen of Seattle, Washington, Carolyn Denne of Denver, Colorado, Patrick Albrecht of Austin, Texas, Richard Albrecht of San Antonio, Texas, Karen Albrecht of San Antonio, Texas, and Kathy Brown of Corpus Christi, Texas; two grandsons; and one great-grandson.

A Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, at Mt. Carmel Chapel followed by a Funeral Mass to be held at 10 a.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Private Entombment will be held at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
