Dr. Robert Sanborn, President and CEO of Children at Risk, will be the keynote speaker at a Coastal Bend Human Trafficking Conference to be held Jan. 19, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Del Mar East Campus-White Library-Room 433. The White Library is located at 101 Baldwin Blvd. in Corpus Christi.
The conference is open to church staff, medical, legal and law enforcement and individuals who are interested in gaining vital information on trafficking in the region of South Texas and to coordinate with leaders to effectively combat human trafficking.
Other conference speakers include Steven Goff, Assistant Director, Center to End the Trafficking and Exploitation of Children; State Representative Todd Hunter of Corpus Christi; Chris Burchell, Founder of Texas Anti-Trafficking in Persons Coalition and Juan Gonzalez, San Juan Police Chief.
The Coastal Bend Coalition Against Modern Day Slavery sponsors the conference, and there will be a $25 to attend.
