A new CHRISTUS Spohn Medical Group Urgent Care Center will fill a need in the Portland area by treating and helping those requiring assistance for minor illnesses and injuries.
With its extended hours, and seven days a week accessibility, the CHRISTUS Spohn Medical Care Group Urgent Care Center-Portland is designed to offer an alternative to a hospital emergency department for non-life threatening illness or injury.
The Portland Urgent Care Center is located at 311 Buddy Ganem Drive next to Northshore Cinema 8, and is open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m on Sunday.
Staffed by CHRISTUS Spohn Medical Group, the Portland Urgent Care Center includes nurse practitioners, physician assistants and a physician.
“In developing the Urgent Care Center, CHRISTUS Spohn Medical Group responded to a need for medical services beyond normal business hours,” David Foster, MD., said. “No appointments are needed. Our walk-in treatments for real life’s scrapes, sprains, fevers and colds are more affordable than the ER.”
The CHRISTUS Spohn Medical Group Urgent Care Center is scheduled to open on Monday, Oct. 17 at 9 a.m.
