The Corpus Christi Cathedral was filled to capacity at the annual chrism Mass on March 22. Bishop Michael Mulvey blessed three oils—the oil of catechumens (oleum catechumenorum or oleum sanctorum), the oil of the infirm (oleum infirmorum) and holy Chrism (sacrum chrisma)—used in the administration of the sacraments throughout the diocese for the year.
Prior to the Mass Bishop Michael Mulvey held a reflection with priests of the diocese. The event marks the start of Holy Week in the Diocese of Corpus Christi. Bishop Mulvey will celebrate the Holy Days at the Cathedral in accordance with the following schedule:

March 25 - 12 p.m., Good Friday Service, Cathedral
