For the first time ever, Catholic evangelization ads will run on national, prime time network television starting Dec. 16. The effort is being launched by CatholicsComeHome.org and will run through Jan. 9, 2012.
The evangelizing ads are expected to reach 250 million viewers throughout every diocese in the United States. The ads will air on CBS, NBC, Univision, TBS, USA, TNT, CNN and Fox News. Also, during shows like NCIS, 60 Minutes, NBC Nightly News, The Today Show, Jay Leno, major sports programming and your favorite sitcom.
The ads invite relatives, friends and others to return home to the Catholic Church. Organizers hope the campaign will “usher in the largest family reunion in church history.”
Seventy percent of baptized Catholics worldwide no longer practice their faith. For the past three years, Catholics Come Home has helped more than 300,000 inactive Catholics (and converts) to come home in 30 dioceses from Boston to Seattle, Chicago to Atlanta, Sacramento to Charlotte.
