Angels softball team advance to TAPPS State

The Incarnate Word Academy varsity softball team will advance to play in the TAPPS State Softball Tournament on May 12 at 2 p.m. at Sweeny High School. An opponent is to be determined.

The Lady Angels remain undefeated in district, bi-district, and now regionals.

Recently, the Lady Angels defeated Houston Lutheran South 4-3 on May 5 during the TAPPS Regional Softball Game. The Lady Angels also defeated Katy’s St. Johns XXIII College Preparatory High School on May 3 during the TAPPS Bi-District Playoff Game.

The Lady Angels finished their district season with a first place rank and a 14-0 record.
