Angels golfers place at TAPPS State Tournament

Incarnate Word Academy junior William Teichman IV earned fourth place with a score of 76-77-153 at the TAPPS State Golf Tournament on May 3 in Temple.

​In the girls’ division, IWA junior Mikaela Rendon earned seventh place with a score of 88-85-173.

Both William and Mikaela were named to the All-State Golf Team.

In addition, the IWA boys’ golf team earned seventh place overall with two-day total of 684.

In the boys’ individual results, senior Edward Hicks Layton scored 87-83-170, junior Jackson Wallace scored 92-86-178, freshman Charles Uecker scored 94-92-186, and freshman Oscar Pena scored 91-95-186.
 
“Overall, the team had a successful season,” IWA Golf Coach Keno Aleman said.
