5 year old wins State Chess Tournament

Gisele Delgado and principal of Central Catholic Elementary, Sister Anne Schlegel, IWBS, hold up a first place trophy for the Texas Girls Chess Tournament on Oct. 15.

Five-year-old Gisele Delgado, a first grader from Central Catholic Elementary, won first place in the K1 Texas Girls Chess Tournament on Oct. 15. She played against 15 other kinder and first graders from all over Texas.
