Bishop Emeritus Edmond Carmody announced that he would move to Tyler before the end of the year where he will help Bishop Joseph Strickland, who was installed as the fourth bishop of the Diocese of Tyler on Nov. 28. Bishop Carmody was the second bishop of Tyler serving there from 1992-2000 before being named bishop of Corpus Christi.
