Our Church today is vibrant and our commitment to the Lord is unwavering. Over 390,000 Catholics, celebrate our Sacraments throughout 68 parishes and 32 missions, across 12 counties. Of the combined total population of these counties, 62% are Catholics.
Over 168 priests from our Diocese, and other dioceses and religious orders, along with 85 deacons, serve the needs of our people with the dedicated assistance of over 145 religious women. Just last year these men and women served the needs of our faithful in our parishes in over 300 Masses, 3,000 baptisms, 1,427 confirmations, 847 marriages, and 1,737 funerals.
Priestly vocations continue to flourish in our Diocese with 13 seminarians preparing to serve our Lord as priests, 12 in discernment, and 30 men beginning their inquiry process.
Within our Diocese, 19 Catholic schools evangelize, collaborate, facilitate and educate over 3,600 students for the challenges of this world and the glory of the next. We are blessed to have one diocesan high school, one private high school, fourteen diocesan and parish elementary schools, and three private elementary schools. From kindergarten to high school, our schools extend Christ’s educational ministry in order to continue building God’s Kingdom.
Every year throughout our Diocese, men and women in 13 social service centers continuously reach out to over 70,000 of our most fragile brothers and sisters who have an urgent need for food, shelter and medical care. Our social service centers transform, heal, empower and nourish bodies and souls believing the in the presence of God within our midst.
