Antonio Garcia, a studio artist, muralist, portrait painter and art educator in Corpus Christi for many years, painted a mural of the Immaculate Conception, which soars over 44 feet from the sanctuary floor to the ceiling of the chapel. It was done in 1960 for what was then the Corpus Christi Minor Seminary Chapel. It was commissioned during the administration of Bishop M. S. Garriga.

The Beautiful Story of the Eucharist told in colored glass… erected as a memorial to their loved faithful departed whose souls are recommended to the charity of your prayers” so reads the bronze commemorative tablet listing the names of the donors at the rear of the Cathedral nave.
