Direct Parish Support: $3,700,000
The parish is the center of our Catholic life. It is where we enter the Church through Baptism, and continue to grow closer to God through Holy Communion, Reconciliation, Confirmation and Adoration. We bind members of our parish communities together in Matrimony, and we pray for those who go before us to be with the Lord and console their families.
To meet all the sacramental, spiritual formation and religious education needs of the growing Catholic population, our parishes and schools must act now by repairing, maintaining, and in some cases, constructing new facilities to meet the demands of our services and ministries. Churches, parish halls, rectories and schools must be improved or repaired to address the needs of each community.
A vibrant parish life is central to fulfilling the mission of the Church. The Diocese is committed to the economic stability and vitality of its parishes; therefore for every dollar raised up to the parish’s goal, 20% will return to the parish for local need(s) designated by its pastor and parish councils. Additionally, for every dollar raised above the parish’s goal, 80% of every over goal dollar will also return to the parish.
