On January 20, the United States Health and Human Services Department issued a mandate that effectively requires that Catholics betray their beliefs and abandon their consciences. Bishops from throughout the Unites States wrote letters to the faithful urging that they engage in prayer and faithful citizenship so that the national Administration will reverse course and return to the principles of the First Amendment regarding freedom of religion.

At left are copies of Bishop Mulvey’s letter to the faithful, both in English and Spanish, which were read at all Masses throughout the Diocese of Corpus Christi. Please continue to pray for and support Bishop Mulvey and all bishops in the United States so that their efforts will succeed in overturning this unwarranted intrusion on our rights as men and women of faith.
